First he used it as it was supposed to be used, where you wet it, wring it out and put it on your neck or head when you are hot. It did it’s job well by keeping the cool on your body.
Secondly, he wet it down and put in on his body for an extended amount of time to see if it would keep him cool all day. The problem with this was that it cooled down and then absorbed his body heat. Then it made him hot. So he recommended only wearing it for a small amount of time.
Thirdly, he froze it to see if it could hold the cold in longer. This did not work because it ended up freezing the towel hard and it made it unusable.

I found this to be very good at cooling you down, but keep in mind that it is water based. It will not keep you cold in a hot environment, and you should not freeze it. If you do, simply running it under water will break up the ice crystals that formed inside it.
Overall this is a great product if you need to cool yourself down fast on a break or after a workout. However this is not meant to be used for long periods. Either way it cools down with water so that is a very good feature.
