The Review
✨ The Title/Cover Draw:
- This book was recommended by @alexandra_roselyn and I was super interested in the plot and secrecy.
💜 What I liked:
- The way this book was written was so poetic and beautiful. The imagery was insightful and the comparison of the situation to fairytale tropes was creative.
😱 What I didn’t like:
- I kinda figured out the twist early on so it didn’t provide as much of a shock as I had heard. But that did not detract from my enjoyment at all.
💁♀️ The Characters:
- Cadence, Mirren, Johnny, and Gat are the liars. Their adventures on a family island is shrouded in mystery.
🚦 My face at the end: 🙀
💭 5 Reasons to Read:
- It’s very fast paced. I devoured it in a day.
- You never quite know what is happening.
- The clues dropped along the way lead seamlessly into a believable mystery.
- Friendships and Secrets.
- Beautiful language.
All thoughts and opinions are my own.
