The Review
✨ The Title/Cover Draw:
- Taylor Jenkins reid is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. The premise of this sounded unique and fun. Thanks to #Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.
💜 What I liked:
- The relationship between the siblings and learning about their past that dictated their future. The book switches from the life of their parents to the present day of the party, incorporating new characters with ease. This family of surfers has a close but complex relationship balance.
😱 What I didn’t like:
- There wasn’t much I didn’t like. It had a good pacing and didn’t drag.
💁♀️ The Characters:
- The Riva kids are Nine, Jay, Hudson, and Kit preparing for one raging yearly party.
🚦 The Ending:
- Slightly open ended but also perfect.
💭 Consider if you like:
- Historical fiction. But even if you don’t, give it a try. I didn’t think I was a fan until I read Taylor Jenkins Reid.
