Holiday Movie Review: Love Actually

Cast: Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Liam Neeson

Short Synopsis:

Nine intertwined stories examine the complexities of the one emotion that connects us all: love. Among the characters explored are David (Hugh Grant), the handsome newly elected British prime minister who falls for a young junior staffer (Martine McCutcheon), Sarah (Laura Linney), a graphic designer whose devotion to her mentally ill brother complicates her love life, and Harry (Alan Rickman), a married man tempted by his attractive new secretary.

This movie is a holiday tradition for our family. We loved it so much that we created a scent after it.

You Are Perfect

It was the first time we truly recognized Andrew Lincoln for his acting abilities. And let’s not forget Emma Thompson’s amazing scene where she tries to keep it together listening to Joni Mitchell. And of course every time I see Alan Rickman, my heart breaks just a little.

That being said, this movie is exactly the kind of movie I love- large cast, well written and connected storyline, and actors that truly take it to the next level.

Caution: There is nudity in this movie so be warned!
