Book Review: Normal People

BOOK REVIEW⠀Book: Normal People⠀Author: Sally Rooney ⠀⠀⠀I heard a lot about this book which is one of the reasons I wanted to read it. There was a lot of buzz about how it personifies how this current generation feels about life and relationships.⠀⠀Overall, this book does deal with a "will they, won't they" storyline but the underlying theme really is more complex than that. For me it was a difficult read, not because of how it was written, but because the conversation was lacking in completion. What this means to me is that there was so much left unsaid between...

BOOK REVIEW⠀Book: Lost and Found in Paris⠀Author: Sasha Wagstaff ⠀⠀I have never gone to Paris. That being said, I felt like I took a trip to Paris with this book. The premise was sort of basic romance, but there is a nice twist at the end that keeps you interested.⠀⠀Essentially it's a story of miscommunication, missed opportunity, choices, and love. Plus there is a nice sprinkling of food descriptions that made me hungry every time I picked this book up.⠀⠀I received this book in order to review.⠀

Book Review: Murder, She Uncovered

BOOK REVIEW⠀Book: Murder, She Uncovered⠀Author: Peg Cochran @pegcochran⠀⠀This period mystery is one that really keeps you guessing. I usually can figure out "who done it" but in this book, I didn't. The time period also led to a rich description of life in the time period. I loved that the heroine was a modern woman who was stepping outside her social class and the norms of society to discover her own path. This is really important in this day and age. I was given an advance copy of this book for review.⠀

BOOK REVIEW⠀Book: Prom-Wrecked⠀Author: T.H. Hernandez & Jennifer Digiovanni⠀@thhernandez1 @jendwrites⠀⠀It's just a basic senior prom. Or is it?⠀The struggles to get this prom off the ground is completely mesmerizing. If it could go wrong, it did. There is also a mystery element to this as well. ⠀⠀Very enjoyable , easy, quick read. If you like young adult, this book is for you. This books is also told from 2 different points of view which also makes it interesting.⠀⠀I received this book for review purposes.⠀.⠀

Book Review: Life In Your World

Book: Life in Your World⠀Author: Anj Cairns @anjipower ⠀⠀⠀This book was an interesting look at how the world and social situations must look from the outside in. I loved the naivete of the narrator as she discovers more about those she had been observing. This book was a very swift read and very easy to understand.⠀⠀One of the key things i most enjoyed about the book was the ability to build community at any age. The main character was young and yet she worked to learn more about the seniors, was patient with them, and gave them the ability to find confidence...
