Book Review: Jamie Quinn Trilogy

BOOK: Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection (Death by Digeriddo, Case of the Killer Divorce, Peril in the Park)⠀
AUTHOR: Barbara Venkataraman⠀

This particular entry is 3 Books in one! I enjoyed that because the books were on the shorter side. However, I felt like reading all 3 at once gives you a better sense of the characters.⠀

Book 1: Death by Didgeridoo⠀
Jamie Quinn is still recovering from the death of her mother. But she gets pulled into a murder mystery she must solve in order to save her cousin. There are quite a few characters that come together to form Jamie’s community and to help her in her quest.⠀

Book 2: The Case of the Killer Divorce⠀
Jamie is now returning to work and dealing with family law, which is her bread and butter. But her client becomes accused of murdering her ex-husband. She must turn to her friends (Grace, Duke, and a new character, ex-boyfriend Kip) to help sort it out.⠀

Book 3: Peril in the Park⠀
Boyfriend Kip is director of the parks department. But threats and other happenings occur to him which makes him question his choice of job. It’s Jamie to the rescue, and don’t forget the stable of characters!⠀

Each book can be read alone or together, but I absolutely recommend together. The characters are likeable, understandable, and the twists come easy and natural (not like “Where did that come from?”). ⠀

I received this book for review purposes. Thank you to the author for reaching out to me to read this!⠀
