The Review
✨ The Title/Cover Draw:
- I am a part of Kelsie’s street team, so I got an advance copy of this book. I have read the first 5 in the series, but skipped the 6th one (because this one looked TOO GOOD) which I will read this month.
💜 What I liked:
- The story of Adriel is another that I can relate with as I danced growing up but had to stop due to weight and knee issues. This round of the Curvy Girls Club is new as it contains a younger group of girls. The connecting link is Cora – Ginger’s sister from the first 5 books – as a connection to the original club. The stories of the Curvy Girls with loveable flaws continues!
😱 What I didn’t like:
- This is more a me thing, but I skipped book 6, some of the establishing details were lost. There isn’t a lot of explanation for the events in the previous (which is great if you have already read it).
💁♀️ The Characters:
- Adriel, Faith, Cora, Des, and Nadira are the new curvy girls. Adriel is the focus of this one, where she gets to know Carter better after weight lifting for weight loss.
🚦 My face at the end: 😹
💭 5 Reasons to Read:
- The characters are real!
- If you love long series, get it here!
- Each character has a flaw that they deal with so there is a good chance you will find one to connect with.
- Guys to make you believe in love.
- Friends that make you hope for happiness.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
📘 Summary:
The strongest bodybuilder in Emerson isn’t a match for my focus.
Emerson Dance is one of the most prestigious dance companies in the country. And I got kicked off the team right before nationals because my curves don’t “fit.” Not their idea of a perfect dancer’s body and definitely not their costume.
I’m going to enter the competition on my own and show them that every body is a dancer’s body. It will mean practicing in the gym with the bodybuilders, but I can shove my nerves – and my attraction to Carter McCormac – aside long enough to win.
My reputation, and my future, depend on it.
