The Review
Holiday Horror Movies used to be a niche that maybe had a new addition once every five or ten years Thanks to the Blumhouse spectrum of frights, the subgenre could grow up to be a real genre someday. Black Christmas is a Classic College Campus Slasher. It is however less of a comedy than the trailer promised.
The only real negative about this movie is the steep learning curve that the millennial characters have with Horror movie survival. Did they not see Scream?! It does make wise use of the secret society trope though. Overall it does the subgenre proud.
